Best season to travel: In general in Guatemala, the weather is pleasant, since it is tropical. But from December to April, it is the dry season, that means the rain shouldn’t be a problem.
Typical food: Pepián, Hilachas, Dobladas, Rellenitos. It is recommended to try Guatemalan coffee and chocolate.
Moving between cities: Transportation in almost all of Guatemala is quite good, as there are good connections with all cities, and the transportation systems work well. You can hire your trips through agencies, or by going directly to the bus terminals. Public buses are generally Chicken buses, but for some more tourist destinations, there are Vans as well.
Recommended cities: Antigua, Chichicastenango, Tikal or/and Yatchá, Lake Atitlán, Semuc Champey, Golden Beach, Panajachel, Flores.
